The Frères Couillaud enjoy exploring new paths. Since 1997, they have dedicated part of their estate to an experimental vineyard planted with unusual grape varieties for the Nantais region: Viognier, Petit Manseng, Muscat Petit Grain, Sauvignon Gris, and Pinot Gris. The wines produced from this vineyard are released under the label “Frères Couillaud Private Collection.”
Muscaris is a dry white wine made from an innovative grape variety, naturally resistant to diseases and cultivated according to the principles of organic farming. Muscaris, a cross between Solaris and Muscat, was developed for its natural resistance to fungal diseases.
The nose is floral with muscat-like notes, and the palate is fresh and indulgent. Rose, lychee, jasmine, orange blossom. White fruits such as pear and peach.
This wine pairs perfectly with light dishes such as seafood, grilled fish, or can be enjoyed as an aperitif.
